NURS 5972 Family Centered Care for Women, Infants, Children, and Adolescents Clinical

Focuses on the synthesis and application of advanced nurse practice knowledge and skills for providing primary health care to individuals and families. Clinical management of pediatric health maintenance and common childhood illnesses in the primary care setting are emphasized. Incorporating person-centered care in the context of the family, environment and culture are highlighted. Teaching, referrals, and follow-up will be provided in a variety of family health care settings. Includes 60 hours that will specifically focus on care of women during reproductive years and 240 hours focusing on care of the infant, child, and adolescent within the context of the family.
