NURS 5805 Primary Care I

Provides the foundation for the provision of evidence-based primary-centered health care to adult and adult geriatric clients. Identifies appropriate evidence-based screening tools to promote health care maintenance and health promotion. Critical thinking and diagnostic reasoning to formulate differential diagnosis are emphasized. Focus is on evidence-based, ethical and cost-effective care for the assessment, evaluation, and management of integumentary, cardiovascular, pulmonary, diabetic, gynecologic, ear, nose, throat and neurologic disorders as well as a review of common aging syndromes.
