NURS 5965 Primary Care II

Provides the essential foundation for the provision of primary health care for adult and geriatric clients. The course integrates health screening, health promotion and illness management within the primary care advanced practice nursing role. Critical thinking and differential diagnoses are emphasized. The focus is on delivery of evidence-based, patient-centered care in the evaluation and management of endocrine, hematologic, cardiovascular, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, psychological, oncological, reproductive health, and primary care emergent disorders as well as a review of infectious disease and palliative care practices.
