Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Concentration
Goldfarb’s AGPCNP Doctoral (DNP) program option prepares students to educationally and clinically provide care for adults, as well as diagnose, treat and manage adults with acute and chronic conditions in appropriate primary care settings.
Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College offers the DNP in Nursing Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Concentration for BSN/MSN-prepared registered nurses interested in becoming an advanced practice nurse focusing on caring for adult patients. Through the program, students will be educationally and clinically prepared to provide care for healthy adults, as well as evaluate, treat and manage adults with acute and chronic conditions.
Admission Requirement:
• BSN from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale in all undergraduate coursework
• Unencumbered/Unrestricted Missouri RN license in good standing
• Current BLS provider status; Current CV or Resume
• Official transcripts from all institutions where credit was earned

One transcript from each post-secondary institution attended
A copy of a current unencumbered Registered Nurse license
A copy of an APRN license if required in your home state
A copy of APRN national board certification as a CNS, NP, CNM or CRNA
Two references from persons who can address academic skills or clinical competence. Preferably one reference from a doctorally prepared nurse.
One two-page essay
