EPIC at Goldfarb

What it is: EPIC is the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system used at BJC hospitals where you'll do clinical rotations.
Training is MANDATORY: You must complete required EPIC training before your clinical rotations start. If you don't finish it on time, you won't get access, which could delay your clinical experience. Watch for emails about this!

Getting Access (Real Patients - PRD): You'll get access after completing training. You'll log into specific BJC/GSON computers using your BJC Network ID and password, then click the EPIC icon.
Practice Access (Playground - PLY): You can practice using EPIC on specific computers in GSON labs. Use the special login info posted on those computers (NOT your personal BJC ID) to log into the computer, then use the specific EPIC PLY username/password provided.
HIPAA & Patient Privacy: Using EPIC means handling real patient information. This is protected by law (HIPAA). Protecting patient privacy is extremely serious. See the next section for details.
