NURS 6720 Promoting Evidence-based Practice I
This practicum provides the foundation necessary to develop a comprehensive evidence-based project. Students will review processes for identifying current best evidence, including formulation of a clinical question using Population/Patient Problem, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome, Time (PICOT) taxonomy, systematic review of literature, meta-analyses, critical evaluation of individual studies and clinical practice guidelines. This course focuses on the strengths and limitations of existing clinical evidence and its application to advanced clinical practice.
