NURS 3240A Applied Pathophysiology for Nursing: An Analytical Approach
Principles of alterations in structure and functions of major organ systems are presented in a manner that facilitates critical thinking and promotes clinical judgment. Clinical manifestations of selected disease and common health problems resulting from environmental, genetic, and stress-related maladaptation are assessed and analyzed. Risk factors, pathogenesis, assessment findings, diagnostic testing, and interventions for specific disorders are discussed. Pharmacologic treatments and disease management measures are explored.
