NURS 4800I Perioperative Nursing

This course is designed to provide an introduction to peri-operative nursing. Students will be introduced to the physical environment of the operating room, the roles and skills of the operating room nurse, and the nursing management of pre-, intra- and post-operative patients. Emphasis will be placed on patient assessment, teaching and safety.
