Orientation and Transition Experiences
Orientation and transition experiences provide intentional, in-time support to incoming undergraduate and graduate students beginning or returning to continue their program of study. The purpose of orientation and transition experiences are to help students become fully informed and confident about what to expect as they start the nursing program. The orientation and transition experiences provide information on campus resources and academic expectations that may help them become more successful students. In addition, students have the opportunity to meet school administrators, faculty and staff who will support their efforts to achieve academic success as well as fellow students to build positive communities.
New students are required to complete and attend specific orientation and transition experiences. Orientation and Transition experiences may include:
- Orientation Course
- Compliance Modules and Requirements
- New Student Orientation Session
- Supplemental Sessions (as needed)
- Welcome Week (first week of each term)
- Student Success Benchmarks
