NURS 4935A Fundamentals of Nursing
Provides the foundation for nursing practice and an understanding of the role of the professional nurse. Nursing theories, professional values, core competencies, and knowledge of nursing practice will be explored. There will be an introduction to essential skills, safety, and the comprehensive and holistic care for patients. The development of therapeutic relationships and the education of patients and families will be discussed. Practicum includes simulation and clinical experience.
